New Hampton notched a key road league victory on Saturday night, racing away from South Kent in the second half to score a 78-58 victory. The Huskies were the aggressors early on, jumping out to a 12 point lead in the initial minutes of the opening frame. However, a series of turnovers allowed South Kent to regain control, and a deep three at the end of the half sent the homestanding Cardinals into the locker oom up 45-38. Undeterred, the Huskies came out strong in the second half, pulling even at 50 with around twelve minutes left and then blowing it open from there with tremendous ball movement and active defense. Tyler Lydon '15 (Elisaville, NY) led the Husky charge with 27 points, while John Crosby '15 (Baltimore, MD) poured in 19 and AJ Turner '15 (New Haven, MI) added 18. This key strecth for the Huskies will continue on Monday night, as the Huskies host league for St. Thomas More at 5 in Smith Gymnasium.
