New Hampton Holds on Against South Kent

New Hampton was able to withstand a strong South Kent rally on Wednesday afternoon, earning a 65-62 to advance to the NEPSAC AAA semifinals. The Huskies came out as the aggressors, taking a 43-26 lead into the break. From there, the Cardinals slowly chipped away, eventually pulling within one on several occasions. Despite some critical errors down the stretch, the Huskies were clutch at the free throw line, allowing them to secure the victory. John Crosby '15 (Baltimore, MD) led the Huskies with 16 points, while Donovan Love '16 (Providence, RI) added 14 and Tyler Lydon '15 (Elisaville, NY) netted 13. The Huskies will travel to Brewster on Saturday for a 3 PM tip with a berth in the NEPSAC AAA Title Game on the line.
