Gift Program to Benefit the New Hampton Community Church

Students rally the School in support of local familes in need.

Seniors George Shukaylo and Tim Nugmanov led the annual student initiative to purchase Christmas presents for less fortunate community members. With donations still coming in, the current tally is 100 gifts valued at over $1,500.

Each year, this gift program ensures a happy Christmas for families who otherwise would not be able to provide presents to their young children. Director of Service Learning Jonathan Schwab was impressed with this year's leadership. "George and Tim approached me months ago about volunteering their time and energy. They took a longer range approach to the event, beginning the planning in September. Also, they did all of the organizing and executing of the event. I took a few phone calls on their behalf, that's it. This program goes a long way towards connecting the School with the town of New Hampton, and George and Tim deserve the credit for the success this year."
