New Hampton traveled to Concord, NH to face St. Paul's School in and Evergreen matchup.
New Hampton quickly found themselves outmatched by the much larger and more explosive football team of St. Pauls School. The Huskies had a total of 140 yards rushing and 49 yards passing on the night. Ethan Middleton had an impressive 34-yard opening kickoff return and Mark Belcher caught a 33-yard bomb from Charlie Kaikow, in the third quarter. The only touchdown of the evening was scored by Junior quarterback, Jake Stevens, who culminated a tough final series with a 12-yard run into the end zone. Seamus Mcintyre added the extra point. The defense was led by linebacker Jan Kruger and Kyle Romanek who together made 14 tackles. Junior defensive back Talon Perkins had an interception. The Huskies home opener will be at 6 pm on September 27.
