Huskies Rally for Dominant Win in Lakes Region Matchup
Despite the rain-filled skies, the energy in the locker room was electric as the Huskies prepared for their match against Tilton. To our surprise, the rain had cleared by the time we stepped onto the field, and the team's energy soared. We started with confidence but lacked momentum in the first 10 minutes. However, once we netted our first goal, the Huskies came alive, making strong connecting passes and playing dynamic field hockey.
After scoring a few more, Tilton managed to sneak one past us, but that didn't slow us down. The Huskies continued to dominate, taking plenty of shots despite Tilton’s strong, aggressive goalie who was tough to beat. Even after an unfortunate own goal, the team's positivity remained unshaken as they pushed forward with great momentum.
It was a full team effort, with all 22 field players getting time on the field, including several Huskies who played in their first game. Communication soared, and the support from the sidelines was nonstop. Ella Fischetti shone, netting her first goal as a Husky and playing strongly throughout the game.
In the end, the Huskies came away with an impressive eight goals, securing another Lakes Region victory. It was an all-around team effort today. Go Huskies!
