Huskies Knock Off IMG

New Hampton picked up a huge non conference win this weekend vs. a talented IMG team. In the previous two matchups vs. IMG, the two teams have been separated by an average of 4 points with teams splitting the series. This matchup was no different.

 

In the first half, the Huskies relied on a barrage of 3's and playing in transition. New Hampton scored 10 points off of turnovers in the first half and held IMG to 14% from the 3 point line.

 

In the second half, the Huskies continued their hot shooting, going 9-19 (52.9%) from 3. They came up with key stops late as IMG made a push late. We gave up 54 points in the paint over the course of the game, which is an area that needs to improve moving forward.

 

The Huskies had 4 in double figures. Keyshuan Tillery (28 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal), Naz Meyer (20 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists), Mason Blackwood (16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals), and Jayden Harrington (15 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds).
