First Period Woes Hurts Huskies in Loss to Brunswick
New Hampton played Brusnwick in game two of the Phillips Exeter Invitational and lost 6-2.
The first period was all Brunswick as the Huskies struggled in all three zones and dug themselves into a 3-0 hole.
Regrouping at the intermission, the Huskies came out with more effort and detail in the second and third periods to play a tighter game. New Hampton's goal scorers were Broden Wood '25 (assisted by Matt Homer '26 and Connor Pierson '25) and John Micallef '25 (assisted by Pierson '25 and Luke Gerardi '25)
Goaltender Sam Zygulski '26 made 29 saves in the loss.
New Hampton is back in action on Wednesday, December 11th when they play Tilton School in their first Lakes Region matchup.
