New Hampton Loses to Rival Tilton in Tournament Finals
New Hampton dropped the Brooks-Pingree Tournament finals 3-1 (EN) to Tilton School in what was a great hockey game.
After a scoreless first period, Tilton struck first on a 2 on 1 late in the second period. However, the Huskies fired back a minute later with a Broden Wood '25 powerplay goal (assisted by Conor Griffin '25 and Luke Gerardi '25). After a back and forth third period, Tilton scored with just under two minutes remaining to take a 2-1 lead. The Huskies pulled netminder Cole Pouliot-Porter '25 for the extra attacker but Tilton sealed the deal with an empty net goal.
Pouliot-Porter '25 was excellent in net making 31 saves in the loss.
