Huskies Cruise Past Middlesex

CONCORD, MA --

The huskies resumed their season on the road to Concord, MA to face-off against Middlesex School for their first ever matchup. The huskies were looking to get back on the scoresheet after struggling to score at the Cushing tournament, and they did just that. They started the game off strong, and maintained possession throughout the first, creating numerous chances. The Middlesex goalie turned almost all away, but Julia Loughlin '25 found the back of the net with a beautiful individual effort to drive the net at the 16:48 minute mark. The huskies continued their offensive pressure, but could not capitalize on their chances. Goaltender Cara Kuczek '26 stopped the few shots she faced in the first to maintain a 1-0 lead going into the second. The huskies continued their dominance into the second, continuing to create chance after chance. Katie Usilton '26 scored at the 14:23 minute mark to add to their lead. Cara continued to keep Middlesex off the board, fighting off a few breakaways and odd man rushes. Julia Loughlin '25 scored her second of the game with 1:30 left in the second to take a commanding 3-0 lead into the third. The huskies ran away with the lead in the third, scoring 4 goals. Kelsey Baker '26 scored at the 13:21 minute mark, and Kennedy Walker scored an impression third-period hat trick to lift the huskies over Middlesex in a dominating 7-0 win. The huskies are back on the road to Boston on Wednesday, where they will play BB&N.
