Fast Start Helps Huskies Beat Governor's
New Hampton came out fast at Governor's Academy on Saturday afternoon and won the game 4-3.
The Huskies scored four unanswered goals in the first period to take a 4-0 lead. The goal scorers were Connor Pierson '25 (assisted by John Micallef '25 and Luke Gerardi '25), Nate Cohn '25 (assisted by Jake Cabral '27 and Richard Jenkins '26), Brody Merrick '26 (assisted by Richard Jenkins '26 and Jack Mombourquette '25), and Jack Mombourquette '25 (assisted by Ray MacDougall '26 and Broden Wood '25).
Sam Zygulski was strong in net making 35 saves in the victory and holding strong when a talented Governor's team made a late third period push.
