Strong Team Effort Leads to Important Win over Hoosac

New Hampton and Hoosac exchanged leads throughout the first half of today's NEPSAC AAA match-up. Tahlia Pena, Serenity Lancaster, and Abby Schrader shot 100% from the foul line, and a last second drive and kick from Ngenda to Pena in the corner gave NHS a 23-17 lead heading into halftime.

The Huskies came out of the break matching their intensity of the first half. They applied strong ball pressure and crashed the boards, while widening the gap by as much as 11 points mid-way through the 3rd quarter - with Casey Stores, Elyse Ngenda, Pena, and Lancaster contributing.

Hoosac continued to battle and got within 7 with 3:20 left to play, but solid play down the stretch earned the Huskies a 49-41 victory. New Hampton improves to 10-4 overall (4-2 in NEPSAC AAA).
