Huskies Drop Home Opener to Proctor

The Huskies fell to a strong Proctor team in the opener. Proctor's pitcher recorded 13 strikeouts, with the only New Hampton hit of the game coming from Mackensie Mercier in the bottom of the 5th inning. Ellie Zink and Liv Sabin pitched for New Hampton, and both showed flashes of promise. Unfortunately, walks and errors were too much to overcome, and Proctor took advantage of the free baserunners with some timely hits. It was New Hampton's first day playing outside due to weather, and that was undoubtedly a factor. 

New Hampton travels to Exeter next Wednesday for a non-league game.
