New Hampton's 183rd Commencement

On Saturday, May 28, 2005, New Hampton School held its 183rd Commencement. The ceremony began at 9:45 a.m. on the front lawn.

The Welcome Speaker, elected by her classmates, was Stella Bonnie. Acting Headmaster Alan B. Crocker was honored for his service with a special commendation from the New Hampton School Board of Trustees, which was presented by Vice Chairman, Peter Galletly, a member of the Class of 1973. The Commencement Address was given by veteran teacher-coach and Senior Master, Mark Tilton.

Class Valedictorian Brendan T. A. Poh of Meredith, New Hampshire, received the Science Medal and the prestigious Meservey Medal, the school's highest award. Salutatorian Kristen Casadona of New Hampton, New Hampshire, received a Faculty Citation and the World Language Award. Both students offered remarks during the ceremony.

Receiving diplomas were 92 seniors, both boarding and day students, from 18 states and four foreign countries. The New Hampton School Class of 2005 includes:
