NEW HAMPTON, NH - Post graduate guard Jordan Callahan (Marietta, GA) led New Hampton with 22 points in a win over Lee Academy Saturday. Callahan was joined in double figures by Junior Evan Smotrycz (Reading, MA) (21 points) and Post Graduate Chris Gaston (Jersey City, NJ) (15 points). Newcomer Kyle Odister continues to make his presence felt. He finished with 9 points.
The win, which gives the Huskies a 4-0 record at Smith Gymnasium, was fueled by the long distance efforts of Callahan and Smotrycz, who each tossed-in three 3-point field goals.
Despite leading for the majority of the first half, a late flurry by the Pandas gave Lee a one point lead at the half. New Hampton was able to establish an early lead in the second half and never looked back. The victory helped NHS avenge a 1-point loss to Lee on November 21st.
The Huskies have another quick turnaround as they will play host to NEPSAC rival MCI on Monday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00.
