New Hampton Takes 3rd in Slopestyle. Jeff Holce Wins Comp
Shazam! New Hampton has arrived on the Lakes Region Snowboard scene. NHSG Senior, Jeff Holce, takes first overall and both guys and girls finish with bronze medals.
Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Bretton Woods. Lakes Region Slopestyle #2.
White Mountain School hosted this one. Good park for Lakes Region. Not too difficult so everyone could ride it, but fun enough to get some good tricks.
Jeff Holce, commanded the competition. Switching from one lane in the course to the other to hit as many features as possible, Jeff flowed through the slopestyle course. His best score was 24.8 on his second run. This is Jeff's first Lakes Region Gold. He really brought it to this one.
Ryan Finder finished 4th overall with 22.9 on his 1st run.
Sophomore, Brandon Borghi comes in third for the NHSG guys with a 19.4 on his 2nd run. 14th overall.
Will Campbell contributes to New Hamptons 3rd place finish by finishing fourth best for our team with a 19.3 on his first run. 22nd overall.
Mike Hutchinson finished 31st overall with 16.2 on his first run.
Dave McGrath finished 39th overall with a 15.1 on his 2nd run.
Scott Miller finished 49th overall with a 13.8 on his second run.
Joe Ventre finished 52nd with a 13.5, 2nd run.
Christian Butell, 59th, 12.9, 2nd run.
Will Keeping finishing 62nd with a 12.2 on his 2nd run.
63 Guys competed Wednesday.
As for the Lady NHSG's, Celia Dauber is taking it to boardslide and making solid grabs on her airs.
Celia finishes 9th overall with 12.5 on her second run.
Natalie Jansen slid her first solid rail in competition and landed cleanly off the jumps for 15th with a 7.1 on her first run.
Emily Jackson nailed a 50/50 on the rail and jumped cleanly for 16th with a score of 6.5 on her 1st run.
There were 16 Ladies competing.
Great Job Ladies. Congrats on a big third place!
Seriously awesome results from this one. The team has been focusing on slopestyle in the past few weeks. Training in the park. Filming. Spinning 3's and 5's. Stepping up our game.
Next Wednesday is another Slopestyle at our home of Ragged Mountain.
