Huskies fall to Nobles in NEPSAC Championship

New Hampton School traveled to play #2 ranked Nobles at Nobles for the Class A NEPSAC Championship.  The Huskies played NMH to reach this game and Nobles played Tabor.  These two teams have met twice during the season with each team gaining the win at their home court.  New Hampton came out hard at the tip off and went up on Nobles right away.  Both teams fought hard knowing this was it for the title.  Nobles jumped ahead as the first half went on heading into halftime.  

During the second half, the Huskies put up a great fight and had chances to get back in the lead.  Nobles continued to fight back and finished the game 43-53.  It was a great fight between two great teams.  Congratulations to the Huskies for a great season and to finish as runner up in Class A.  

Each member of the Husky team contributed to getting the team to this championship game.  Maddy Blais led the scoring against Nobles with 16 points followed by Shayla Hubbard with 13 points.  Mellissa Frase added 6 points, joined by Lizzy Ball, Samantha Brenner, and Emily Cuthbertson adding to the scoring column.  

Great season New Hampton Women's basketball!  Congratulations as runners up!
