Huskies Come up Short at Tilton
The Rams held a 10-point lead at the half, but the Huskies got within 5 in the third quarter thanks to several successful trips to the free throw line. The team made 21 of 24 attempts - Serenity Lancaster going 11/12.
Elyse Ngenda did her best to keep the Huskies in the game, scoring 11 points in the 4th quarter. Ava Perry chipped in with a 3-point play, and Kitt Jones drove to the hoop for 2 more points, but it wasn't enough to close the gap. Tilton clinched the Lakes Region League championship with a 74-58 victory today.
New Hampton will have to move on from today's setback as they host Winchendon tomorrow for the final game of the regular season. The Huskies will honor their 4 seniors (Adriana Hernandez, Tahlia Pena, Kitt Jones, and Aniyaha Perez) before tip-off.
