In another tightly contested New Hampton vs. Proctor matchup, the Huskies came up short on the road. New Hampton did well to establish possession early on but couldn't convert on goal. Proctor would score first with a shot from the middle in the 15th minute and then again in the 35th minute off of a direct kick.
Eight minutes into the second half, Kaylie Reeve '26 would come close, hitting her shot from distance off the inside of the far post. Twenty minutes later, Reeve would score to bring the Huskies within one. New Hampton would threaten goal handful of times to end the game, but would ultimately be stymied by the Proctor defense and goalkeeping.
Despite the close loss, the evening saw several standout performances, with Katie Usilton '26 covering ground both offensively and defensively from her center midfield role. The Husky fullbacks also worked to keep the team in the game with Gianna Young '27, Fia Swormstedt '26, and Tahlia Pena '25 helping to keep control of the wide play.
New Hampton is back in action at home on Wednesday against Beaver Country Day School at 4:30. Livestream info can be found on the athletics page.
