NHS traveled to Holderness for a play day, came home with the draw.
NHS Men's JV B Soccer traveled to Holderness for our first official match of the season since the CMS Jamboree. Throughout the first half, the Husky defensive line played hard and as a unit were able to transition several plays up to wingers Gabe Ouellette '27 and Sebastian Rodriguez '26 who gave strong efforts to feed crosses into the box. It was Left Midi Daniel Gomez '27 who was able to thread a pass through traffic to striker Carter Masterson '25 for the first goal of the game midway through the first half. Holderness's defense was able to stiffen up after that play, and both teams seemed to settle into their flows. Coming out of halftime with a 1-0 lead, the Huskies seemed to fall a bit flat and the Rams went on the offensive, tying up the score off a counterattack. As the game played on, things got a bit sloppy for both teams and cards came out, but the goalies stayed true and the game ended 1-1. This is certainly a game that both teams will want back, so our final meeting of the season should be a firecracker!
