The Counseling Department at New Hampton School offers a proactive approach to student wellness and individual assessment and support for students struggling with various emotional challenges.
Our Director of Counseling, Nicole Siciliano, MEd in School Counseling, and School Counselor, Jennifer Churchill, LCMHC, promote the health and well-being of the school community through:
- A comprehensive and school-wide health and wellness curriculum
- Scheduled and drop-in counseling sessions
- Appropriate referrals to out-sourced therapists for students seeking long-term, individual therapy
- Private office space for local clinicians to meet with students on campus
- Sage: New Hampton School's resident therapy dog
- Healthy Choices Support Group—a confidential weekly student group that supports healthy habit change
- Bring Change to Mind—a student-led group to advocate for mental health awareness and help create a more empathetic and stigma-free community
